Deep Robotics LYNX M20 Pro

The Deep Robotics LYNX M20 Pro is a high-performance, medium-sized hybrid quadruped designed for industrial inspection, emergency response, and research in extreme environments. It distinguishes itself from traditional “robot dogs” by utilizing a wheeled-legged design, combining the high-speed efficiency of wheels with the obstacle-clearing agility of four-legged locomotion.

Key Features & Capabilities

  • Hybrid Locomotion: The LYNX M20 Pro can zip across flat surfaces at speeds up to 5 m/s (18 km/h) on its wheels. For difficult terrain, it can lock its wheels and use its legs to climb stairs or clamber over debris.

  • Extreme Durability: Built for the “real world,” it carries an IP66 rating, making it dustproof and waterproof. It is operational in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C, allowing it to work in snowy plateaus or scorching deserts.

  • Heavy Lifting: Despite its compact, backpack-sized form (weighing roughly 33 kg), it can carry a 15 kg payload for standard operations and has a maximum load capacity of up to 50 kg for short bursts.

  • Advanced Navigation: The “Pro” model features a robust sensor suite, including dual 96-line LiDARs and wide-angle cameras, enabling 360° situational awareness, SLAM mapping, and autonomous obstacle avoidance.

  • Energy Management: It utilizes a hot-swappable battery system, allowing for continuous operation. A single charge provides approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of runtime while fully loaded.

Industry Applications

The LYNX M20 Pro is engineered for sectors where human presence is risky or inefficient:

  • Industrial Inspection: Navigating narrow 50 cm passages in power plants or chemical facilities.

  • Emergency Response: Transporting supplies (like oxygen tanks) in disaster zones or high-altitude regions.

  • Scientific Research: Acting as a mobile, programmable platform for Embodied AI and robotics R&D.

  • Logistics: Moving packages across “last-mile” terrains that standard wheeled robots cannot handle.
