Unlike consumer models, the U1 is built for mission-critical reliability. It features a dual-link communication system:

• Main Link: 5.8G high-speed telemetry and remote control.

• Backup Link: All-Netcom 4G (including built-in eSIM), ensuring the robot remains reachable even in complex environments or at long distances where Wi-Fi might fail.

2. High-Definition Visual Monitoring

The U1 is optimized for surveillance and inspection with an upgraded visual suite:

• Dual-Camera System: 1080P high-definition resolution with a 120° wide-angle view.

• Low Latency: Image transmission delay is as low as 180ms, allowing for precise real-time piloting.

• Night Operations: Equipped with four high-brightness fill lights to maintain visibility in dark or unlit areas.

3. Advanced Perception & AI

• 4D Ultra-Wide LiDAR: Unitree’s proprietary L1 LiDAR provides 360° x 90° hemispherical perception, allowing it to detect obstacles as close as 0.05m and navigate complex terrains autonomously.

• GPT Integration: Powered by an 8-core high-performance CPU, the Go2 series utilizes “Embodied Intelligence,” allowing for better environment understanding and voice interaction.

  Note: The U1 version typically does not include the depth camera (RealSense) found on the EDU models and does not support the addition of a servo manipulator (robotic arm).¹⁶ If you require secondary development or a robotic arm, the Go2 EDU version is generally recommended.
