Core Design & Agility

The R1 series stands out for its human-like proportions and high-speed motor tech, allowing it to perform dynamic maneuvers like running, cartwheels, and handstands.

  • Structure: Composite shell over an alloy frame with hollow internal electrical routing for a clean, professional finish.

EDU Pro B (U4) Key Enhancements

Unlike the basic R1 models, the U4 version is outfitted for delicate manipulation and deep environment interaction:

  • Degrees of Freedom (DOF): Features 40 DOF in total, significantly more than the 24–26 DOF found in basic versions.

  • Dexterous Hands: Equipped with two Dex3-1 force-controlled 3-finger hands. These hands include tactile sensor arrays, allowing the robot to sense pressure and handle objects with human-like sensitivity.

  • Head Mobility: Includes 2 DOF in the head, enabling pan and tilt for better environmental scanning and Human-Robot Interaction (HRI).

     

Intelligence & Connectivity

  • Onboard Computing: Powered by an 8-core high-performance CPU, with an optional upgrade to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin (up to 100 TOPS) for real-time AI inference and reinforcement learning.

  • Perception: Features a binocular stereo camera for 3D vision, a 4-microphone array for spatial audio/voice commands, and integrated speakers.

  • AI Integration: Ships with support for Unitree’s UnifoLM (Unified Robot Large Model), enabling multimodal interaction (voice + visual).

  • Connectivity: WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for high-speed wireless control and OTA (Over-The-Air) updates.
