The Lite 3 is built on a high-torque joint system that provides a 50% increase in driving force compared to its predecessor. This allows for extremely dynamic maneuvers and stability on complex terrain.

• Dynamic Maneuvers: Capable of front flips, high jumps, horizontal leaps, and automatic self-recovery if knocked over.

• Terrain Adaptability: Can climb slopes up to 40° and navigate stairs up to 15–18 cm in height.

• Speed & Range: Reaches a top speed of 4 m/s (~9 mph) with a maximum travel range of roughly 2.7 km (restricted by the power draw of the LiDAR and onboard computing).

Perception & Navigation (LIVOX LiDAR)

The inclusion of the Livox Mid-360 is the defining feature of this model. Unlike the base versions that rely on depth cameras, this version offers:

• 360° x 59° FOV: Provides a complete spherical view of the environment, eliminating blind spots for navigation.

• Advanced Autonomy: Supports real-time 3D SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), autonomous path planning, and 3D obstacle avoidance.

• Precision Sensing: Detects objects as close as 10 cm and maintains accuracy in both pitch-black environments and bright sunlight.

The Lite 3 LIVOX is designed to be a “white-box” platform for developers:

• Open Source Support: Fully compatible with ROS/ROS2, providing URDF models, C++/Python SDKs, and high-level APIs.

• Modular Expansion: While it comes with LiDAR, it retains the modular interfaces to add 5G modules, RTK-GNSS for centimeter-level outdoor positioning, or additional edge AI processors (like NVIDIA Jetson).

• Reliability: Features an industrial-grade IMU and a 1 kHz control frequency for ultra-stable locomotion.
